Does 5-7 Day Turnaround really mean 7 days?

More than half of 5-7 Day Turnaround are shipped on the 5th day but a small number of orders will take the full 7 days.

How should I select a type of paper?

Heavier papers are generally higher quality but cost more to produce and to ship. Here's a short guide to the types of paper that we offer. Note that not all paper types are available for every product that we print.

  • 14 pt. Coated Cover Stock - standard postcard paper that is typically used for tourist postcards. Coated stock has a smooth, glossy finish.
  • 12 pt. Matte Cover Stock - high quality, heavy paper with a matte rather than smooth finish.
  • 80-lb Glossy Cover Stock - lighter and thinner than 14 pt. Cover Stock but has the same smooth and glossy finish.
  • 100-lb Glossy Cover Stock - heavier than 80-lb stock, but still lighter and thinner than 14 pt. Cover Stock. All Coated Cover Stock has the same smooth and glossy finish.
  • 100-lb Glossy Cover Stock - heavier than 80-lb stock, but still lighter and thinner than 14 pt. Cover Stock. All Coated Cover Stock has the same smooth and glossy finish.
  • 70-lb Opaque Offset - an inexpensive but high quality paper with non-glossy finish.
  • 100-lb Opaque Offset - a heavier but still inexpensive and high quality paper with non-glossy finish.
  • 100-lb Book Stock - a medium weight paper that is often used as the dust-cover for hardbound books. Available in either matte or glossy finsih.

What coatings do you offer and what are the differences?

We offer UV Coating as well as Gloss or Matte AQ Coating.

  • UV CoatingLiquid applied to a printed sheet, then bonded and cured with ultraviolet light.
  • Aqueous CoatingA clear water based coating used to seal and protect the printed sheet, available in both a gloss and a matte finish.

UV Coating is very glossy but can not be written on with pen, pencil, or consumer inkjet inks. Matte AQ Coating has a dull sheen but can easily be written on with pen, pencil, or inkjet ink. Gloss AQ Coating has a higher sheen than Matte AQ Coating but is not as glossy as UV Coating. Although some pens will write on Gloss AQ Coating, most pens, pencils and inks will not.

How much does printing cost?

Printing costs are based on product, paper type, quantity, options, and turnaround. Printing prices are displayed on each product page as well as order summary pages. RumbleCard always offers low prices and high quality.
